Basically very similar tech, just way, way more advanced then what we currently have. It made his visor specifically not nearly as protective (he etched off the gold layer which is typically used to avoid certain types of radiation, astronauts in space use it all the time) but other then that yeah. The visors specifically are actually pretty thick to and immune to most forms of ammunition in the Halo universe except for the sniper rifle and rail guns for obvious reasons.Įmile etched into it on one side, but it didn't affect his view of it at all on the other side.
